I was drawn to the brief for the British Heart Foundation instantly as it will be fun to achieve a set of photographs for such a good cause. The theme for the competition is red for heart. The only rule of the competition is that red must be incorporated somewhere into my photographs.

Schindlers List.
I will be watching the film Schindlers list. Schindler's List is a 1993 American epic drama film about Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who saved the lives of more than a thousand Polish-Jewish refugees during the Holocaust by employing them in his factories. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg, and based on the novel Schindler's Ark by Thomas Keneally. The image of a small girl at the beginning of the film in a red coat which is the only colour in the film, the rest is in black and white is an important image. The childs body is seen at the end of the film on cart full of dead bodies. This small bit of colour creates an emotional affect on the viewers.

Totally agree - heart warming film that really captures the emotions of anyone watching. Makes you think how people can complain nowadays about 'problems' when things like that happened in the past.
